Pike Liberal Arts Patriots (Troy, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Luverne Tigers (Luverne, AL), 9-3 in a league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 7-14 record. They take the field next when they travel to Eufaula for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 22. Pike Liberal Arts will face a Tigers squad coming off a 8-6 non-league win over Charles Henderson (Troy, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 14-20.

With the loss, Luverne falls to 6-7 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Straughn (Andalusia, AL) to face the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 15-9. Straughn won 12-4 in their recent non-league challenge against McKenzie (McKenzie, AL)
