Townsend Harris Hawks (Flushing, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Richmond Hill Lions (Richmond Hill, NY), 16-1 in a league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to The Baccalaureate School for Global Education for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 16.

With the loss, Richmond Hill falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Lions host Springfield Gardens (Springfield Gardens, NY) to face the Golden Eagles in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 17. The Golden Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 0-5. Springfield Gardens lost 18-11 in their recent non-league challenge against Architecture, Engineering and Construction (Bronx, NY)
