Valley Stream Central Eagles (Valley Stream, NY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Roosevelt Roughriders (Roosevelt, NY), 24-12 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now sport a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Friends Academy for a challenge on Tuesday, April 16.

With the loss, Roosevelt falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Roughriders travel to Valley Stream Central (Valley Stream, NY) to face the Eagles in a Section 8 AA-2 challenge on Wednesday, May 8. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 7-1.
