South Greene Rebels (Greeneville, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting University Buccaneers (Johnson City, TN), 19-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Rebels now own a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Happy Valley for a 2A District 1 challenge on Tuesday, April 16. South Greene will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 14-3 non-league loss to Sullivan East (Bluff City, TN). The Warriors record now stands at 1-11.

With the loss, University falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Buccaneers host Unaka (Elizabethton, TN) to battle the Rangers in a 1A District 1 challenge on Thursday, April 18. The Rangers enter the challenge with a record of 7-10. Unaka lost 12-1 in their recent league challenge against Cloudland (Roan Mountain, TN)
