In Tuesday's league bout, the Sweeny Bulldogs (Sweeny, TX) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Bay City Blackcats (Bay City, TX), by a tally of 7-1.

In their next game, the Bulldogs confront the Wharton Tigers (Wharton, TX) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, April 17. Sweeny will attempt to move on its 15-9 season record. The Tigers come into the contest with a 1-12 record after their 18-2 non-league loss to Columbia (West Columbia, TX).
