The Edison Wildcats baseball team scored 17 runs and held the host Weir Red Riders to 7 in the Wildcats non-league win on Tuesday.
The Wildcats now own a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Buckeye Local for a Ohio Valley Athletic AAAA test on Friday, April 18. Edison will clash with a Panthers team coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Brooke (Wellsburg, WV). The Panthers record now stands at 2-6.
With the defeat, Weir drops to 5-9 on the year. The Red riders travel to Capital (Charleston, WV) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league test on Saturday, April 19. The Cougars go into the test with a record of 2-11. Capital lost 4-2 in their recent league test against Cabell Midland (Ona, WV)
