Illinois High School Baseball - Wilmington sneaks past Herscher

April 15, 2025: Wilmington, IL 60481

The crowd at Tuesday's league battle between the Wilmington Wildcats (Wilmington, IL) and the visiting Herscher Tigers (Herscher, IL), saw Wilmington's baseball team get by Herscher by a tally of 4-3.

The Wildcats (9-5) will now prepare for their battle against Andrew (Tinley Park, IL). The Thunderbolts enter the non-league battle with a 12-2 record. In their last battle, Andrew held off Chicago Christian (Palos Heights, IL), 12-7, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Tigers face the Pontiac Indians (Pontiac, IL) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, April 16. Herscher will attempt to upgrade on its 12-3 season record. The Indians enter the battle with a 5-5 record after their 4-1 league win over Rantoul (Rantoul, IL).
