Kentucky High School Baseball - Pikeville defeats Shelby Valley

The Pikeville Panthers baseball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting Shelby Valley Wildcats to 2 in the Panthers league win on Tuesday.
The Panthers now hold a 8-8 record. They take the field next when they host Raceland for a non-league test on Friday, April 18. Pikeville will play a Rams team coming off a 11-9 league win over Russell (Russell, KY). The Rams record now stands at 12-4.
With the defeat, Shelby Valley drops to 3-8 on the year. The Wildcats travel to East Ridge (Lick Creek, KY) to play the Warriors in a District 59 test on Thursday, April 17. The Warriors go into the test with a record of 4-7. East Ridge won 13-11 in their recent non-league test against Jenkins (Jenkins, KY)
