The Sunnyside Christian Knights baseball team scored 16 runs and held the host Pomeroy Pirates to 5 in the Knights league win on Tuesday.
The Knights now hold a 10-4 record. They take the field next when they host Riverside Christian for a non-league test on Saturday, April 19. Sunnyside Christian will play a Crusaders team coming off a 17-5 non-league loss to Liberty Christian (Richland, WA). The Crusaders record now stands at 6-5.
With the defeat, Pomeroy drops to 5-7 on the year. The Pirates travel to St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse (St. John, WA) to play the in a 1B Southeast - East test on Friday, April 18. The go into the test with a record of 2-9. St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse lost 18-3 in their recent league test against Garfield-Palouse (Palouse, WA)
