In Tuesday's league match, the host Russellville Cyclones softball team scored a tight 5-0 victory over the Alma Airedales.

The Cyclones (8-7) will now prepare for their match against Paris (Paris, AR). The Eagles go into the non-league match with a 3-7 record. In their last match, Paris was routed by Booneville (Booneville, AR), 14-0, in a league match.

In their next game, the Airedales battle the Farmington Cardinals (Farmington, AR) in a 5A West match, on Friday, April 18. Alma will attempt to better on its 8-8 season record. The Cardinals go into the match with a 10-4 record after their 10-0 league win over Siloam Springs (Siloam Springs, AR).
