The Cumberland County Panthers softball team scored 15 runs and held the visiting Metcalfe County Hornets to 0 in the Panthers league win on Tuesday.

The Panthers now possess a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Clinton County for a District 16 battle on Thursday, April 17. Cumberland County will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 11-0 non-league win over Monroe County (Tompkinsville, KY). The Bulldogs record now stands at 15-5.

With the loss, Metcalfe County moves to 4-5 on the season. The Hornets travel to Russell County (Russell Springs, KY) to confront the Lakers in a District 16 battle on Thursday, April 17. The Lakers come into the battle with a record of 8-9. Russell County lost 12-1 in their recent non-league battle against Allen County-Scottsville (Scottsville, KY)
