Kentucky High School Softball - Logan County held off by Franklin-Simpson

The Franklin-Simpson Wildcats got by the visiting Logan County Cougars softball squad by a count of 6-5 in Tuesday's league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats meet the Westmoreland Eagles (Westmoreland, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, April 17. Franklin-Simpson will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Eagles go into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 13-1 non-league win over Gallatin (Gallatin, TN).

The Cougars (4-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY). The Golden Eagles go into the non-league challenge with a 12-6 record. In their last match, Johnson Central nipped Paintsville (Paintsville, KY), 13-1, in a league match.
