The Hayfield Vikings softball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Buccaneers to 6 in the Vikings non-league win on Tuesday.

The Vikings now possess a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southland for a non-league battle on Thursday, April 17. Hayfield will confront a Rebels team coming off a 6-0 non-league loss to United South Central (Wells, MN). The Rebels record now stands at 7-1.

With the loss, Waterville-Elysian-Morristown moves to 2-4 on the season. The Buccaneers host Triton (Dodge Center, MN) to confront the Cobras in a non-league battle on Thursday, April 17. The Cobras come into the battle with a record of 1-5. Triton lost 13-3 in their recent league battle against Lourdes (Rochester, MN)
