In Tuesday's league match, the host Mankato East Cougars softball team scored a tight 9-3 win over the Owatonna Huskies.
The Cougars (4-0) will now prepare for their match against Maple Grove (Maple Grove, MN). The Crimson come into the non-league match with a 4-1 record. In their last match, Maple Grove nipped Osseo (Osseo, MN), 13-1, in a league match.
In their next game, the Huskies confront the Century Panthers (Rochester, MN) in a Big 9 match, on Wednesday, April 16. Owatonna will attempt to better on its 3-4 season record. The Panthers come into the match with a 5-2 record after their 13-2 league loss to Mankato West (Mankato, MN).
