The Smithtown East Bulls (Smithtown, NY) softball routed the host Newfield Wolverines (Selden, NY), 14-2 in Tuesday's league outing.
The Bulls now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Copiague for a Section 11 AA/A-4 outing on Friday, April 25.
With the loss, Newfield moves to 2-5 on the season. The Wolverines travel to North Babylon (North Babylon, NY) to encounter the Bulldogs in a Section 11 AA-3 outing on Wednesday, April 16. The Bulldogs come into the outing with a record of 2-0. North Babylon won 12-0 in their recent league outing against Copiague (Copiague, NY)
