Arkansas High School Softball - Rivercrest bounces Newport

April 15, 2025: Newport, AR 72112

The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Rivercrest Colts (Wilson, AR) and the host Newport Greyhounds (Newport, AR), observed Rivercrest's softball team prevail over Newport by a tally of 15-3.

The Colts (6-6) will now prepare for their bout against Hoxie (Hoxie, AR). The Mustangs go into the 3A Region 3 bout with a 9-5 record. In their last bout, Hoxie knocked off Harrisburg (Harrisburg, AR), 11-5, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Greyhounds battle the White County Central Bears (Judsonia, AR) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, April 17. Newport will attempt to advance on its 1-11 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 5-8 record after their 16-1 league loss to Quitman (Quitman, AR).
