South Fremont Cougars (St. Anthony, ID) supporters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Snake River Panthers (Blackfoot, ID), 16-10 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, South Fremont improves its record to 8-9 on the year. The Cougars travel to Sugar-Salem (Sugar City, ID) to face the Diggers in a 4A Mountain Rivers game on Thursday, April 17. The Panthers now hold a 1-14 record. They play next when they host American Falls for a 4A South East Idaho game on Wednesday, April 16. Snake River will face a Beavers squad coming off a 15-3 non-league loss to Teton (Driggs, ID). The Beavers record now stands at 4-10.
