The North Fork Miners baseball team scored 11 runs and limited the host Basalt Longhorns to 2 in the Miners league victory on Saturday.

The Miners (9-3) will now prepare for their match against Basalt (Basalt, CO). The Longhorns come into the 3A Western Slope challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Basalt beat Gunnison (Gunnison, CO), 22-4, in a league challenge.

With the defeat, Basalt falls to 2-4 on the season. The Longhorns host North Fork (Hotchkiss, CO) to encounter the Miners in a 3A Western Slope challenge on Saturday, April 16. The Miners come into the challenge with a record of 7-3. North Fork lost 5-4 in their recent league challenge against Coal Ridge (New Castle, CO)
