The Centennial Chargers baseball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting Heyworth Hornets to 6 in the Chargers non-league victory on Saturday.
The Chargers (3-10) will now prepare for their match against Bloomington (Bloomington, IL). The Purple Raiders go into the Big Twelve match with a 11-4 record. In their last match, Bloomington by Metamora (Metamora, IL), 8-7, in a non-league match.
The Hornets (4-11) will now prepare for their match against Tri-Valley (Downs, IL). The Vikings go into the Heart of Illinois match with a 6-4 record. In their last match, Tri-Valley by Tremont (Tremont, IL), 7-5, in a league match.
