The Prairie Central Hawks crushed the host Herscher Tigers baseball team by a count of 12-5 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Hawks now possess a 4-8 record. They take the field next when they host St. Joseph-Ogden for a Illini Prairie bout on Monday, April 18. Prairie Central will face a Spartans team coming off a 4-1 non-league win over Centennial (Champaign, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 14-2.
Next, the Tigers face the Wilmington Wildcats (Wilmington, IL) in a Illinois Central Eight bout, on Monday, April 18. Herscher will attempt to move on its 7-7 season record. The Wildcats enter the bout with a 4-7 record after their 12-11 league loss to Manteno (Manteno, IL).
