The McCurdy Bobcats baseball team scored 4 runs and limited the host Santa Rosa Lions to 2 in the Bobcats non-league victory on Saturday.
The Bobcats (8-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Mora (Mora, NM). The Rangers/Rangerettes come into the 2A District 5 challenge with a 8-3 record. In their last challenge, Mora nipped Questa (Questa, NM), 12-6, in a league challenge.
With the defeat, Santa Rosa falls to 13-5 on the season. The Lions travel to Texico (Texico, NM) to battle the Wolverines in a 2A District 6 challenge on Tuesday, April 19. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a record of 7-7. Texico won 18-5 in their recent league challenge against Pecos (Pecos, NM)
