Woodstock North Thunder (Woodstock, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Crystal Lake Central Tigers (Crystal Lake, IL), 16-9 in a non-league challenge.
The Thunder now sport a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Grayslake Central for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 20. Woodstock North will face a Rams squad coming off a 11-3 league loss to Lakes (Lake Villa, IL). The Rams record now stands at 4-8.
With the loss, Crystal Lake Central falls to 6-5 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Central (Burlington, IL) to face the Rockets in a Fox Valley challenge on Monday, April 18. The Rockets enter the challenge with a record of 5-2. Central won 18-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Larkin (Elgin, IL)
