North Vermillion Falcons (Cayuga, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Fountain Central Mustangs (Veedersburg, IN), 17-2 in a league challenge.

The Falcons now own a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they host South Vermillion for a Wabash River challenge on Tuesday, April 19. North Vermillion will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Northview (Brazil, IN). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-0.

With the loss, Fountain Central falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Indiana School for the Deaf (Indianapolis, IN) to face the Deaf Hoosiers in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 18. The Deaf Hoosiers enter the challenge with a record of 1-5. Indiana School for the Deaf lost 17-7 in their recent non-league challenge against North Montgomery (Crawfordsville, IN)
