With the loss, Portales falls to 8-9 on the campaign. The Rams host Artesia (Artesia, NM) to face the Bulldogs in a 4A District 4 match on Tuesday, April 19. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 15-4. Artesia won 12-2 in their recent league match against Lovington (Lovington, NM)
