Woodland Warriors (Streator, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL), 10-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 11-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fieldcrest for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 18.

With the loss, Reed-Custer falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Comets host Peotone (Peotone, IL) to battle the Blue Devils in a Illinois Central Eight challenge on Monday, April 18. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 4-7. Peotone won 7-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Crete-Monee (Crete, IL)
