The West Las Vegas Dons nipped the visiting St. Michael's Horsemen softball squad by a final score of 16-15 in Saturday's league battle.
The Dons (8-9) will now prepare for their battle against St. Michael's (Santa Fe, NM). The Horsemen go into the 3A District 2 battle with a 8-9 record. In their last battle, St. Michael's held off Pecos (Pecos, NM), 20-5, in a non-league battle.
The Horsemen now possess a 8-11 record. They play next when they host West Las Vegas for a 3A District 2 battle on Saturday, April 16. St. Michael's will meet a Dons squad coming off a 9-2 league loss to Santa Fe Indian (Santa Fe, NM). The Dons record now stands at 6-9.
