North Carolina High School Baseball - Watauga sneaks past Alexander Central

Spectators at Tuesday's league battle between the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) and the host Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), saw Watauga's baseball squad edge Alexander Central by a count of 1-0.

Coming up next, the Pioneers play the West Forsyth Titans (Clemmons, NC) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, April 17. Watauga will attempt to move on its 9-4 season record. The Titans enter the battle with a 14-4 record after their 21-0 league win over Mount Tabor (Winston-Salem, NC).

The Cougars now possess a 8-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Caldwell for a Northwestern 3A/4A battle on Friday, April 19. Alexander Central will play a Spartans squad coming off a 16-6 league win over Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 13-4.
