North Carolina High School Baseball - Hickory sneaks past North Iredell

Spectators at Tuesday's league battle between the Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) and the host North Iredell Raiders (Olin, NC), saw Hickory's baseball squad edge North Iredell by a margin of 5-4.

Coming up next, the Red Tornadoes play the St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC) in a Western Foothills 3A battle, on Friday, April 19. Hickory will attempt to better on its 5-11 season record. The Indians enter the battle with a 9-6 record after their 6-2 league loss to East Lincoln (Denver, NC).

The Raiders now sport a 5-8 record. They take the field next when they host West Rowan for a non-league battle on Thursday, April 18. North Iredell will play a Falcons squad coming off a 6-1 league win over Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 15-4.
