The Payson Lions lacrosse team scored 12 points and limited the visiting Wasatch Wasps to 7 in the Lions non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Lions (8-1) will now prepare for their game against Provo (Provo, UT). The Bulldogs enter the 4A Region 8 game with a 6-4 record. In their last game, Provo edged Mountain View (Orem, UT), 22-3, in a league game.
The Wasps (1-8) will now prepare for their game against Maple Mountain (Spanish Fork, UT). The Golden Eagles enter the 5A Region 7 game with a 5-3 record. In their last game, Maple Mountain edged Provo (Provo, UT), 13-4, in a non-league game.
