The Lane Tech Champions baseball team scored 16 runs and limited the host Chicago Academy Cougars to 0 in the Champions league victory on Tuesday.

The Champions (11-4) will now prepare for their match against Payton College Prep (Chicago, IL). The Grizzlies go into the match with a 2-7 record. In their last match, Payton College Prep was overwhelmed by Taft (Chicago, IL), 17-5, in a league challenge.

With the defeat, Chicago Academy falls to 2-3 on the season. The Cougars travel to Lane Tech (Chicago, IL) to battle the Champions in a challenge on Thursday, April 18. The Champions come into the challenge with a record of 12-4. Lane Tech won 10-0 in their recent league challenge against Payton College Prep (Chicago, IL)
