The Mount Pleasant Tigers baseball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting North Stanly Comets to 8 in the Tigers non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Tigers (8-4) will now prepare for their match against Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Trojans go into the non-league match with a 2-9 record. In their last match, Northwest Cabarrus was edged by West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC), 7-4, in a non-league match.
The Comets (9-3) will now prepare for their match against East Rowan (Salisbury, NC). The Mustangs go into the non-league match with a 10-2 record. In their last match, East Rowan tipped West Stanly (Oakboro, NC), 4-2, in a non-league match.
