The Topsail Pirates lacrosse squad (Hampstead, NC), was edged 13-11 in Tuesday's league contest with the host Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC)

Coming up next, the Buccaneers confront the Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC) in a Mideastern contest, on Friday, April 19. Laney will attempt to advance on its 12-3 season record. The Screaming Eagle enter the contest with a 10-3 record after their 19-2 league win over North Brunswick (Leland, NC).

The Pirates now own a 13-2 record. They play next when they host Croatan for a non-league contest on Thursday, April 18. Topsail will confront a Cougars squad coming off a 10-8 non-league loss to Ashley (Wilmington, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 10-3.
