Salem Spartans (Salem, VA) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Pulaski County Cougars (Dublin, VA), 8-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Spartans face the Lord Botetourt Cavaliers (Daleville, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, April 18. Salem will attempt to better on its 6-1 season record. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 4-1 league loss to Fleming (Roanoke, VA).

The Cougars now have a 0-10 record. They take the field next when they host Cave Spring for a River Ridge challenge on Friday, April 19. Pulaski County will face a Knights team coming off a 5-1 league loss to Christiansburg (Christiansburg, VA). The Knights record now stands at 1-6.
