The Harpursville Hornets routed the visiting Afton Knights softball squad by a final score of 18-3 in Tuesday's league battle.

The Hornets (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Walton (Walton, NY). The Warriors go into the Section 4 Midstate I battle with a 0-3 record. In their last battle, Walton was routed by Franklin Central (Franklin, NY), 7-6, in a non-league battle.

The Knights now possess a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Bainbridge-Guilford for a Section 4 Midstate I battle on Wednesday, April 17. Afton will meet a Bobcats squad coming off a 15-5 non-league win over Charlotte Valley (Davenport, NY). The Bobcats record now stands at 2-0.
