North Carolina High School Softball - Alleghany loses to East Wilkes

The East Wilkes Cardinals softball team scored 15 runs and limited the visiting Alleghany Trojans to 0 in the Cardinals league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, East Wilkes improves its record to 14-2 on the year. The Cardinals travel to East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC) to clash with the Cardinals in a non-league game on Wednesday, April 17. The Cardinals come into the game with a record of 6-8. East Surry won 15-0 in their recent league game against North Surry (Mount Airy, NC)

In their next game, the Trojans clash with the Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC) in a Northwest 1A game, on Friday, April 19. Alleghany will attempt to improve on its 1-13 season record. The Buckin' Elks come into the game with a 10-6 record after their 10-0 non-league loss to Forbush (East Bend, NC).
