Baldwyn Bearcats (Baldwyn, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Biggersville Lions (Corinth, MS), 5-3 in a league challenge.

The Bearcats now own a 7-10 record. They take the field next when they host Strayhorn for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 19.

With the loss, Biggersville falls to 2-11 on the campaign. The Lions host Tremont (Tremont, MS) to face the Eagles in a 1A Region 1 challenge on Wednesday, April 17. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 3-10. Tremont lost 5-4 in their recent league challenge against Baldwyn (Baldwyn, MS)
