Elmore County Panthers (Eclectic, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Beauregard Hornets (Opelika, AL), 7-6 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 9-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tallassee for a 5A Area 5 challenge on Wednesday, April 17. Elmore County will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 5-3 non-league loss to Prattville Christian Academy (Prattville, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 9-20.

With the loss, Beauregard falls to 22-9 on the campaign. The Hornets host Benjamin Russell (Alexander City, AL) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 18. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 4-12.
