Magnolia West Mustangs (Magnolia, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Brenham Cubs (Brenham, TX), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now sport a 18-15 record. They take the field next when they travel to Magnolia for a 5A Region III District 21 challenge on Friday, April 19. Magnolia West will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 16-1 league win over Montgomery (Montgomery, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 17-14.

With the loss, Brenham falls to 17-15 on the campaign. The Cubs host College Station (College Station, TX) to face the Cougars in a 5A Region III District 21 challenge on Friday, April 19. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 24-5. College Station won 10-3 in their recent league challenge against Rudder (Bryan, TX)
