Bridgeland Bears (Cypress, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Cypress Lakes Spartans (Katy, TX), 14-1 in a league challenge.

The Bears now own a 26-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cypress Springs for a 6A Region II District 16 challenge on Friday, April 19. Bridgeland will face a Panthers squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to Cypress Woods (Cypress, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 2-19.

With the loss, Cypress Lakes falls to 6-20 on the campaign. The Spartans host Langham Creek (Houston, TX) to face the Lobos in a 6A Region II District 16 challenge on Friday, April 19. The Lobos enter the challenge with a record of 26-6. Langham Creek lost 5-3 in their recent league challenge against Cypress Ranch (Houston, TX)
