Cape Fear Colts (Fayetteville, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Douglas Byrd Eagles (Fayetteville, NC), 19-0 in a league challenge.

The Colts now own a 10-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lumberton for a United Eight 3A/4A challenge on Wednesday, April 17. Cape Fear will face a Pirates squad coming off a 12-11 league win over Gray's Creek (Hope Mills, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 17-2.

With the loss, Douglas Byrd falls to 0-13 on the campaign. The Eagles host Lumberton (Lumberton, NC) to face the Pirates in a United Eight 3A/4A challenge on Thursday, April 18. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 17-3. Lumberton lost 4-3 in their recent league challenge against Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC)
