Cherryville Ironmen (Cherryville, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Highland Tech Rams (Gastonia, NC), 16-0 in a league challenge.

The Ironmen now own a 13-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Piedmont Community Charter for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 17. Cherryville will battle a Patriots squad coming off a 16-0 league win over Sugar Creek (Charlotte, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 1-5.

With the loss, Highland Tech falls to 0-11 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Cherryville (Cherryville, NC) to battle the Ironmen in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A challenge on Thursday, April 18. The Ironmen enter the challenge with a record of 14-2. Cherryville won 13-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC)
