Eastern Comets (Greentown, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Clinton Prairie Gophers (Frankfort, IN), 11-4 in a league challenge.

The Comets now sport a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host Sheridan for a Hoosier Heartland challenge on Thursday, April 18. Eastern will face a Blackhawks squad coming off a 12-5 league loss to Clinton Prairie (Frankfort, IN). The Blackhawks record now stands at 2-7.

With the loss, Clinton Prairie falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Gophers travel to Sheridan (Sheridan, IN) to face the Blackhawks in a Hoosier Heartland challenge on Wednesday, April 17. The Blackhawks enter the challenge with a record of 2-6. Sheridan lost 18-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Elwood (Elwood, IN)
