Columbus Cardinals (Columbus, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Edna Cowboys (Edna, TX), 11-1 in a league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 15-7 record. They take the field next when they host Rice Consolidated for a 3A Region IV District 25 challenge on Friday, April 19. Columbus will battle a Raiders squad coming off a 8-0 league loss to Industrial (Vanderbilt, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 0-25.

With the loss, Edna falls to 6-13 on the campaign. The Cowboys travel to Palacios (Palacios, TX) to battle the Sharks in a 3A Region IV District 25 challenge on Friday, April 19. The Sharks enter the challenge with a record of 8-11. Palacios lost 11-0 in their recent league challenge against Yoakum (Yoakum, TX)
