Crestwood Knights (Sumter, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Lakewood Gators (Sumter, SC), 24-21 in a league challenge.

The Knights now own a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they host Marlboro County for a AAA Region 6 challenge on Wednesday, April 17. Crestwood will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Camden (Camden, SC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, Lakewood falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Gators host Crestwood (Sumter, SC) to battle the Knights in a AAA Region 6 challenge on Friday, April 19. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 2-6. Crestwood lost 12-2 in their recent league challenge against Marlboro County (Bennettsville, SC)
