Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC) and the host Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC), witnessed Elkin's softball squad tip Starmount by a count of 7-3.

The Buckin' Elks now sport a 10-5 record. They play next when they travel to Forbush for a non-league match on Thursday, April 18. Elkin will meet a Falcons squad coming off a 6-0 non-league loss to West Forsyth (Clemmons, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 10-8.

With the loss, Starmount moves to 10-7 on the season. The Rams travel to South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC) to meet the Sauras in a Northwest 1A match on Friday, April 19. The Sauras go into the match with a record of 6-13. South Stokes won 15-0 in their recent league match against Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC)
