Ferris Saxons (Spokane, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Mead Panthers (Spokane, WA), 6-5 in a league challenge.

The Saxons now own a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cheney for a 2A/3A/4A Greater Spokane challenge on Thursday, April 18. Ferris will battle a Blackhawks squad coming off a 11-1 league loss to Mt. Spokane (Mead, WA). The Blackhawks record now stands at 6-6.

With the loss, Mead falls to 8-4 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Lewis & Clark (Spokane, WA) to battle the Tigers in a 2A/3A/4A Greater Spokane challenge on Thursday, April 18. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 2-8. Lewis & Clark lost 32-0 in their recent league challenge against University (Spokane, WA)
