George Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Maroons now own a 6-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Grayson County for a Mountain Empire challenge on Wednesday, April 17. George Wythe will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 21-7 league win over Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 2-8.

With the loss, Galax falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Maroon tide travel to Carroll County (Hillsville, VA) to face the Cavaliers in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 19. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a record of 10-0. Carroll County won 2-1 in their recent league challenge against Radford (Radford, VA)
