Oceanside Collegiate Academy Landsharks (Mt. Pleasant, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting James Island Trojans (Charleston, SC), 8-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Landsharks now own a 12-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lucy Beckham for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 17. Oceanside Collegiate Academy will battle a Bengals squad coming off a 9-5 league win over Colleton County (Walterboro, SC). The Bengals record now stands at 6-6.

With the loss, James Island falls to 9-5 on the campaign. The Trojans host Beaufort (Beaufort, SC) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 18. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 12-5. Beaufort won 1-0 in their recent league challenge against North Charleston (North Charleston, SC)
