Katy Taylor Mustangs (Katy, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Paetow Panthers (Katy, TX), 7-3 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 20-10 record. They take the field next when they host Katy for a 6A Region III District 19 challenge on Friday, April 19. Katy Taylor will face a Tigers squad coming off a 16-0 league win over Seven Lakes (Katy, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 30-1.

With the loss, Paetow falls to 16-18 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Tompkins (Katy, TX) to face the Falcons in a 6A Region III District 19 challenge on Friday, April 19. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 15-10. Tompkins won 13-0 in their recent league challenge against Jordan (Fulshear, TX)
