Krum Bobcats (Krum, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Springtown Porcupines (Springtown, TX), 3-1 in a league challenge.

The Bobcats now own a 27-2 record. They take the field next when they host Castleberry for a 4A Region I District 8 challenge on Friday, April 19. Krum will face a Lions squad coming off a 9-8 league win over Lake Worth (Lake Worth, TX). The Lions record now stands at 16-11.

With the loss, Springtown falls to 7-9 on the campaign. The Porcupines travel to Bridgeport (Bridgeport, TX) to face the Bulls in a 4A Region I District 8 challenge on Friday, April 19. The Bulls enter the challenge with a record of 8-8. Bridgeport won 9-6 in their recent league challenge against Decatur (Decatur, TX)
